Martin Muchiri – Chairperson
Mr Martin Kamau Muchiri is the current Chairperson of the Alumni Association and was elected into office on 29 nth September 2018. Mr Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance Option), a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance Option) and is also a CPA finalist. Mr Martin has worked as a business counsellor in Tecnoserve Limited which is an international NGO’s. Mr Martin is currently working as a part time lecturer at Kirinyaga University in the school of business and Economics.
He is passionate about making Kirinyaga University Alumni Association have a good start, based on a strong, sustainable and progressive culture that will help the Association realize its goals. He is also keen on the Association tapping into corporate funds and mentoring the students to fit into the world of work.
Sam Kibugi - Vice Chair
He is an ambitious Entrepreneur with major interest in real estates and Agro-business. He holds a post in Kiambu young entrepreneur’s Association. Samuel Kibugi pursued Bachelors of Science (Mathematics and computer) in the pioneering class and graduated from KyU in 2017. He brings his vast leadership and management skills to the association.
Ivy Kirimi – Organizing Secretary
Ivy Kirimi is a Graduate Assistant in the school of Business and Economics at Kirinyaga University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting). She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and has a Masters of Science in Finance and Accounting from KCA University.
Mr. Patrick Mwangi – Treasurer
Mr. Patrick Mwangi is the current Treasurer of the Association. He is a Tutorial fellow in Kirinyaga University and has previously served as a Graduate Assistant in the School of Business and Economics.
Mr Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance), a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) and he is also a CPA finalist. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral studies. He believes in the philosophy that “Accountability and Transparency in financial matters are key determinants for success of any organization”.
